Jane Peart the author
Jane Peart is a best-selling and award winning novelist in both the
secular and Christian markets. Her beloved Brides of
Montclair Series is one of the longest continuous series
on the market. She has also published the Westward Dreams
Series, the American Quilts Series, the Orphan Train Series, the Edgecliffe
Manor Mysteries, as well as many other titles. She
is the author of over 60 books in all, translated into
several languages and sold internationally.
Some of Jane's works have been presented as radio plays in Great Britain
and fans are looking forward to film versions in the future.
Jane grew up in North Carolina and is an alumus of the historic Asheville
school, St Geneveive of the Pines. A childhood injury
at nine years of age kept Jane bedridden for nearly a
year. To amuse herself, she made up stories and acted
them out with paper dolls. She credits this as the start
of her lifelong writing career.
She attended college in New England and worked as an airline
stewardess before becoming a full time writer as a wife and mother.
She made her home in Northern California for many years and now resides
in Hawai'i.
Her love of history and historical research is apparent in the themes
and background of her books.
A talented visual artist as well, Jane's paintings are in public and
private collections. (Look for prints of her work on
this web site in the future!)
Jane is grateful for the opportunity to share her spiritual path
with her readers through her work. She considers her talent a
gift from God and is thankful every day for her interesting and rewarding
career.
