| Jane Johnson Peart of Asheville, North Carolina, Humboldt and Marin counties, California, and in recent years, Hawai'i, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter Chloe in Talent, Oregon on June 2, 2007. Married to former Humboldt County Supervisor and wild rivers advocate, Ray Peart (1926 - 2001) Jane was an award winning author, an accomplished artist and loving wife, mother (daughters, Chloe and Eden) and grandmother, (grandson Ari and granddaughter Ramona) She was the beloved sister of brother Bracken, sisters Mary Louise, Ruth, Sara, Martha and Audrey, and beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. Jane's more than 60 works of suspense, historical fiction and romance have touched the hearts and minds of thousands of readers whose correspondence she treasured. | |
